About

About

I'm an interior architect and designer from New Zealand, based in Freiburg, Germany. I work in both English and German.

In my earlier career working for Allistar Cox, one of the most renowned hospitality designers in New Zealand, I was able to develop my skills on a wide range of projects. An exciting mix of cafés, restaurants and bars to larger scale architectural and hospitality developments. I was constantly challenged to create exciting, enduring and rich human-centric spaces; spaces for gathering, feasting and communication, spaces that work hard operationally but feel effortless to be in.

In 2014 I moved to Europe and established myself as a freelance interior architect in Berlin. Since then I've worked with boutique studios and directly with private clients across Europe, the UAE, and the US. I've taken on roles ranging from lead designer to head of office for a boutique practice, giving me experience not just in design but in running projects, managing teams, and navigating the practical realities of getting things built.

Design Values

I enjoy approaching projects through a mix of curiosity, craft and materiality. Drawing from this base, I aim to create enduring, thoughtful and intimate spaces.

I believe that spaces should be ultimately functional, but should also evoke an emotional engagement; an environment that excites, stimulates, comforts or relaxes us. We are imprinted with the memories of the spaces we inhabit, so let's allow those memories to be vivid and enduring.

Services

I work with hospitality and gastronomy clients, commercial and retail businesses, and private residential clients. I also contract for architecture and interior design offices that need experienced freelance support.
