Honouring the Past, Securing the Future

Restoring a heritage building is a delicate balancing act between preservation and progress. For this five-story Edwardian gem, our mission was to celebrate its original elegance while bringing the structure into the 21st century. The project required a total overhaul, from full seismic strengthening and new floor plates to a complete circulation redesign. The roof was removed and replaced with a design that took inspiration from the original architects vision.

Throughout the process, Allistar Cox Building and Interiors prioritised the building’s original DNA. Every detail of the new work, including the sophisticated bespoke designed new entrance foyer and two floors of high-end office fit-outs was designed to fit stylistically with the Edwardian building. It was a privilege to honour the existing form and craftsmanship of this historic site, ensuring it remains a functional, beautiful landmark for generations to come.
