BRLO Brwhouse, Biergarten & Pop Up

For Novono

The BRLO project was a dynamic, two-phase journey in translating a bold brand identity into a physical environment. We began with a high-impact Pop-Up, where a tight timeline required us to design a spatial concept centred on sustainability and visibility. A striking graphical identity in black and white was established, in the time when most craft beer spaces were defined by raw wood and more natural colours. By utilising rented scaffolding and re-usable materials, we minimised waste for the temporary space and created a backlit structure designed to function as a luminous urban landmark.

For Phase 2 (The Brwhouse and Biergarten), we moved into a permanent container building designed by GRAFT Architects. We worked with the defined shell to create a high-contrast interior, featuring a bold lighting design and a white gridded wire system that pops against the black container backdrop. The space is highly functional: the double-height central hall transitions seamlessly from a dining zone to a performance stage, while the garden reinterprets the traditional German Biergarten by integrating live hop plants and repurposed elements from the original Pop-Up.
